Daltons were not commonly found in County Donegal. DGS member, Mike Dalton of Oregon has extracted the few births and deaths from the IGI and from Matthew William Dalton's Civil Registry Extract - 1864 to 1891, FHL # 361843. There were no marriage records available nor entries in Griffiths Valuation.
BIRTHS.
11 Jan. 1654: Elizabeth Fay baptized to Patrick O'Fay and Mary Dalton at Ballykergan Townland, Kilteevogue Parish.
30 Aug. 1875: Michael Dalton at Mount Prospect, Ballyshannon RD* to John Dalton
(servant) and Anne Ryan.
*RD = Registration District. There are overlaps into adjacent counties:
Ballyshannon: Donegal and Fermanagh.
DEATHS
30 Mar. 1864: Dorthea Dalton at Ballyshannon, Ballyshannon RD, age 45 - unmarried , housekeeper.
22 Feb. 1864: James Dalton at Maas, age 52.
14 May 1879: Sarah Dalton at Maas, age 75.
23 Dec. 1876: Bridget Dalton at Maas, age 47.
